Sonya Shaheed, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Sonya graduated from Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2011. She worked as a registered nurse in telemetry, medical-surgical, and various specialty units within the hospital and outpatient clinic settings. In 2017, Sonya graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She earned nurse practitioner certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Since that time, she has been refining her clinical skills as a nurse practitioner through opportunities in primary care and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. A life long learner, Sonya earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of South Alabama in 2019.

Sonya is a native of Florida, but has lived in the metro Atlanta area for many years. In her spare time, Sonya enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
