Daryl Sherrod, MD

Dr. Daryl Sherrod is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician who started practicing medicine in Conyers after residency in 2001. His path in medicine begin with his graduation from Southwest DeKalb High School with an Advanced Academic Diploma with Excellence. After high school, Dr Sherrod attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado for three years before transferring to Georgia State University. Upon graduation in 1993, with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in biology and a minor in engineering, he continued his studies in medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.

In 1997, Dr. Sherrod graduated from medical school and entered his surgical internship at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. At the completion of his internship, he began his residency in family practice at the Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. After residency, he started Family Practice Partners, LLC, a private practice, with three other colleagues in Conyers, Georgia. He subsequently worked in his private practice for 13 years before joining DeKalb Medical Physicians group for five years. Dr. Sherrod has also worked as a part-time emergency room physician for the past twenty years.
